
Senior Brand Manager - Fairfield County CT
With a strong emphasis on analysis, our Brand Managers are responsible for achieving core business objectives of generating demand, growing share and increasing profit for assigned product lines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Brand Building
Leverages insights to set strategies and business plans for designated product lines to achieve company sales and profit objectives
Develops and owns 2-year marketing plan for assigned product lines, overseeing execution of strategies that drive brand growth and deliver forecast
Leads cross-functional team through development and execution of brand objectives across 4Ps to win with key customers
Challenges sales organization to prioritize against key brand strategies and deliver on incremental opportunities
Directs Marketing Activation team to deliver positive business impact from business strategies (awareness, trial and loyalty)
Balances and prioritizes the role of innovation, renovation, productivity, pricing, trade and promotions in order to achieve growth targets
Analyzes brand business results and marketplace dynamics to provide on-going marketing mix recommendations
Core Business Management
Reviews P&L data monthly and quarterly to inform shifts to plan for assigned product lines
Tracks POS performance and channel dynamics
Highly engaged in forecasting process to help deliver effective demand plan
Responsible for optimal product portfolio
Drives product development agenda and coordinates new product launches
Develops brand pricing strategy, including SRP and MAPP
Develops promotional guidelines and distribution goals
Works with Consumer Insights and Category Management to establish periodical reviews of the product line and category

QUALIFICATIONS:
High level of proficiency in MS Excel
Exceptional analytical skills
Experience using syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI)
Strong presentation skills
Attention to details and accuracy
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Able to manage multiple projects and timelines
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-moving and rapidly changing environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must be able to work in an environment with free-roaming companion pets
PREFERRED SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
7+ years of post-graduate work experience, Consumer Goods (CPG)
Pre-graduate work experience includes CPG, Consulting, Finance and Sales
Demonstrated leadership with strategic focus and bias for action
Strategic reasoning and critical thinking – analyze wide range of inputs, identify opportunities and develop strategy
Ability to work collaboratively, inspire cross-functional teams and lead through ambiguity
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree
MBA (Preferred)
